A - All Hearts and Flowers jewellery is sealed with Renaissance wax to prevent verdigris (green patina).
Verdigris is caused by moisture so if you get the jewellery wet repeatedly, it can turn skin green but this doesn't happen with the majority of people. I have only found this to happen with untreated rings as we wash our hands so much, which is why I don't make rings.
Usually the wax is enough but if you would like a layer of clear varnish applied to the piece, just email me.
